Everland vs Lotte World Ticket Prices: What Foreigners Pay in Korea

EpicKor Editorial|

Last updated: 8 October 2026. Gate prices are from Everland's fee page (에버랜드 이용요금) and Lotte World Adventure's ticket-price page (롯데월드 어드벤처 티켓 요금), read that day; price history from Korean press reports of each rise; foreigner-ticket prices from Seoul Pass listings the same day, which change often. Sources at the end.

Everland ticket prices crossed a line this week. On Tuesday 6 October 2026, Everland (에버랜드) raised its October day ticket from ₩68,000 to ₩71,000 (about $52 at ₩1,360 to the dollar). Korea's financial daily Money Today noted that no major Korean theme park had ever charged more than ₩70,000 for a one-day gate ticket. Lotte World (롯데월드) had already gone from ₩64,000 to ₩67,000 on 1 April. Almost every English guide still quotes Everland's top price as ₩68,000.

The gate price is not what most foreign visitors pay, though. Both parks sell discounted "foreigners only" tickets through travel platforms, and on 8 October 2026 those were listed at ₩51,000 for Everland in October, ₩44,200 in November and December, and ₩42,500 for Lotte World. Even the reseller pages are behind: they still show ₩68,000 and ₩62,000 as the "original" prices they discount from.

Below: the official prices, the price history and the foreigner prices side by side, then which park is worth your one theme-park day in Korea.

Everland's 6 October rise: ₩71,000, and why October is the dearest month

Everland's fee page lists a day-ticket (종일권) price for each month. Money Today (7 September 2026) explains the pattern: Everland usually treats April, May and October as peak months (극성수기) and June, September and November as high season (성수기), with the rest of the year cheaper. The 6 October rise added ₩3,000 to every tier: peak ₩68,000 to ₩71,000, high season ₩62,000 to ₩65,000, and the regular and low-season price ₩52,000 to ₩55,000.

The official page on 8 October 2026:

Month of visitAdult and teen (13–64)Child (3–12) and senior (65+)Approx. in US dollars, adult
October 2026 (from the 6th)₩71,000₩61,000about $52
November 2026₩65,000₩55,000about $48
December 2026₩55,000₩45,000about $40

Under-36-months enter free with proof of age (a passport works), and the page warns seasons "may change without notice". Everland's card-discount page confirms the switch: ₩68,000 for 1–5 October, ₩71,000 from the 6th. (The 365 Standard annual pass went from ₩290,000 to ₩300,000, which matters only to residents.)

The practical point is the calendar. Late October is Everland's dearest month of the year; move your day into November and the gate price drops ₩6,000 and the foreigner ticket ₩6,800. The trade-off: November in Yongin is cold by late afternoon, and Everland's queues are outdoors.

An air-activated pack in each coat pocket makes a 40-minute queue at dusk bearable; Korean convenience stores sell the same kind by the till once it turns cold. The current price is on the listing. Ten years of price rises at both parks

English pages take years to catch up with these. The record from Korean press reports:

WhenParkAdult day ticketWhat changed
2016Everland₩48,000 → ₩52,000First time in the ₩50,000s
2022EverlandTop price ₩64,000A new peak-season tier was created

November 2024Lotte World₩62,000 → ₩64,000The ₩62,000 reseller "original price" dates from before this
1 April 2026Lotte World₩64,000 → ₩67,000 (+4.7%)Teen ₩58,000, child ₩50,000, baby ₩17,000; on 3 April the 7-ride Magic Pass was abolished
6 October 2026Everland₩68,000 → ₩71,000Every day-ticket tier +₩3,000; first rise in 3 years 7 months

Industry News calculated that Lotte World's two rises added 8.1% in about 17 months; Lotte World's Gold annual pass also went from ₩310,000 to ₩340,000. Everland cited "new content, infrastructure improvements, and rising prices and costs". For perspective, Money Today set ₩71,000 against Tokyo Disney's new top price of ¥12,400 (about ₩107,000): Korean parks are still cheap by regional standards, just not as cheap as English guides say.

What foreigners actually pay: the foreigner-only tickets

Both parks sell discounted tickets for foreign visitors through licensed travel platforms (Seoul Pass, Klook, Trazy and others), not at the gate. You book a date, receive a QR or PIN voucher and redeem it at the gate. The Everland listing warns that Koreans may be restricted from using it, so carry your passport.

These were the Seoul Pass prices on 8 October 2026, set against the real gate price:

TicketForeigner priceReal gate price that dayYou saveRefunds
Everland day pass, visit in October₩51,000₩71,000₩20,000 (28%)Refundable if unused
Everland day pass, visit in November₩44,200₩65,000₩20,800 (32%)Refundable if unused
Everland day pass, visit in December₩44,200₩55,000₩10,800 (20%)Refundable if unused
Lotte World + Folk Museum day pass₩42,500₩67,000₩24,500 (37%)Non-refundable

The listings' crossed-out "original" prices are stale: ₩68,000 for Everland and ₩62,000 for Lotte World, a price Lotte World dropped in November 2024. So the real saving is bigger than advertised, and biggest at Lotte World, more than a third of the gate price. Search results for the same Everland listing still show an older "from ₩42,100", but nothing that low was on sale for October to December when we checked. These are day tickets only: no Q-Pass, Magic Pass or paid extras.

Lotte World's April rise, the After4 ticket and the park-only pass

Lotte World Adventure's official page lists two kinds of admission, and the difference catches people out.

Lotte World ticket, as of October 2026Adult (19+)Teen (13–18)Child (3–12)Baby (1–2)
Combined pass (종합이용권), 1 Day₩67,000₩58,000₩50,000₩17,000
Combined pass, After4 (entry from 16:00)₩55,000₩47,000₩39,000₩17,000
Park pass (파크이용권), 1 Day₩64,000₩56,000₩49,000₩17,000
Park pass, After4₩52,000₩45,000₩38,000₩17,000

The combined pass adds the Lotte World Folk Museum (민속박물관, last entry 18:00); the park pass is ₩3,000 cheaper, skips the museum and takes no general discounts. Babies under 12 months enter free, and from 12 to 36 months entry to the park itself is free too: the ₩17,000 baby ticket is only needed for the toddler rides. Visitors 65 and over pay the child price.

After4 is the ticket Everland has no answer to. On 8 October 2026 Lotte World was open 10:00 to 21:00, entry closing an hour earlier, so After4 buys five hours for ₩55,000. If you can use the ₩42,500 foreigner day ticket, that is cheaper even at 16:00. The official page also says mobile screenshots are not accepted, so keep a platform voucher live on your phone.

Skip-the-line costs: Magic Pass (매직패스) and Q-Pass (큐패스)

Lotte World's Magic Pass was restructured on 3 April 2026. The 7-ride pass was abolished, and the 5-ride pass now comes in four versions by which rides it covers: Light ₩54,000, Standard A ₩65,000, Standard B ₩65,000, Premium ₩80,000. It is sold only in the Lotte World app, on top of admission, in limited daily numbers: from 08:30 on the day, or for Premium only, from midnight two days ahead. Maximum four per person, one rider per pass, no refund if unused, and five big rides, including Atlantis and the Comet Express (혜성특급), count once each. A ₩42,500 foreigner ticket plus Premium is ₩122,500, worth it mainly on weekends and school holidays.

Everland's Q-Pass is sold through Everland's smart reservation system and app, mostly bundled with a day ticket, and the price changes with the ride and the season, so there is no single figure to quote. Everland's biggest ride also changed its name: T Express (T익스프레스), the wooden coaster with the 77-degree drop, was renamed Monimo RUSH (모니모 러시) under a Samsung Financial Networks tie-up announced on 14 April 2026, so guides may use either name.

Getting there, and what it adds to the day

Lotte World is simple: the official directions page says Jamsil Station (잠실역) Exit 4, subway Line 2 or 8.

Everland is in Yongin (용인), and the journey was the hidden cost. Since 1 August 2026 the 4105 express bus has run from Seoul Station through Myeongdong and Itaewon to Everland, about an hour against 1 hour 40–50 minutes with transfers before. From Gangnam, the 5002 bus stops at Sinnonhyeon, Gangnam and Yangjae. By rail, take the Suin-Bundang Line to Giheung (기흥), change to the Everline light rail (에버라인, 용인경전철) to its last stop, Jeondae·Everland (전대·에버랜드역), and ride the free shuttle bus to the gate. An Everland day starts before 09:00 in Seoul and ends after dark; Lotte World can be an afternoon.

When the foreigner ticket isn't the deal, and when to skip

When a Korean card beats it. Everland's own smart-reservation page gives holders of Korean partner cards 50% off at the gate price, which is ₩35,500 for 6–31 October, and 30% off for companions travelling with them (₩49,000). Both beat the ₩51,000 foreigner ticket. The catch: it needs a Korean-issued partner card that meets its spending condition, paid by the cardholder. Residents should check their card first.

When the saving shrinks. In December, Everland's gate price falls to ₩55,000, and the ₩44,200 foreigner ticket saves only ₩10,800.

When not to go. The Hangeul Day long weekend is Friday 9 to Sunday 11 October 2026, and October is festival season at both parks (Lotte World's site was promoting its Dark Fantasy Festival on 8 October); expect the longest weekend queues of the autumn. After the Suneung exam on Thursday 19 November, theme parks run half-price offers for exam-takers. In 2025 Lotte World sold them combined passes at ₩26,000, and parks stay busy with students into December. See our Suneung Day plan and exam-day explainer.

When the weather wins. Everland is almost all outdoors, and its big coasters pause in hard cold. In early 2025 T Express stayed shut through the cold snap and reopened only on Friday 14 February. Lotte World's official page says some Magic Island rides can stop in rain, strong wind, below 0°C or above 30°C, but the indoor park keeps running. For a cold or wet December day, Lotte World is the safer ticket; our December guide has the month's weather normals.

Honest notes. Lotte World treats any Magic Pass bought outside its app as fraudulent and may cancel it. Do not pay for priority passes on a quiet weekday. And with only half a day, skip Everland.
